Saumitra Chaudhuri is a
member of the Economic
Advisory Council to the
Prime Minister of India
and an Economic Advisor
with ICRA Limited (an
associate of Moody’s
Investors Service). He
is also a member of the
Advisory Board of Fixed
Income Money Market &
Derivatives Association
of India (FIMMDA).
During his career,
Saumitra has worked
extensively in
formulating and
reviewing economic and
monetary policies. He
has also pursued
research interests
through collaborative
work with The World
Bank, United Nations
Industrial Development
Organization (UNIDO), UK
Department for
International
Development (DFID) and
Indian Council for
Research in
International Economic
Relations (ICRIER). He
is the Executive Editor
of Money & Finance, a
journal combining
analysis of contemporary
economic development and
research articles.
Saumitra has also
contributed to various
monographs and chapters
reflecting the state of
the Indian Economy.
